Melanie started working and designing in wood in 2014 in Indiana. Moving to Venice, Florida in 2021, she used the style of those two geographic areas in the name of her business, Midwest Coastal Designs. Her style is natural and elegant, trying to keep the original looks of the wood she is using while creating new pieces from small to large. Setting up a new shop in Venice, Melanie will be creating more art with a coastal feel and Midwest charm.
